Senior Data Engineer at Handoff

You'll play a central role in shaping Handoff's data infrastructure, with a strong focus on building and optimizing our data warehouse. Beyond writing pipelines, you'll be deeply invested in understanding how data drives our business and empowers our teams, ensuring that every solution you build delivers clarity and impact. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to design scalable, reliable, and high-quality data systems that become the foundation for insights and decision-making across Handoff.

About You


• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.


• 5+ years in data engineering or architecture roles, preferably within product-centric companies.


• Strong background in building scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud-based services (AWS preferred).


• Proven experience designing and deploying efficient data transformations on large-scale datasets.


• Skilled in workflow orchestration, data integration, and analytics platforms (e.g., Airflow, Airbyte, Metabase).


• Knowledge of modern data lake and cataloging approaches, including schema management and table formats such as Apache Iceberg.


• Proven ability in SQL query tuning, data modeling, and database design.
