Activities and context:The postdoctoral fellow will work on a project investigating the neural mechanisms regulating adipose tissue, thermogenesis, and energy metabolism.

Activities will include in vivo and ex vivo experiments, molecular, cellular, and imaging analyses, as well as data interpretation.

Opportunities to work with transcriptomics, bioinformatics, and computational analysis will be available depending on the candidate’s experience and interests.

Mandatory requirements:PhD degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, or related fields. Previous experience in experimental research in metabolism, physiology, pharmacology, neuroscience, or related areas.

Experience with molecular biology, cell biology, and/or animal experimentation techniques. Ability to independently conduct experiments, analyze data, and contribute to scientific manuscripts.

English proficiency sufficient for reading and scientific writing.

Requirements Qualifications: Previous experience in metabolism, adipose tissue, thermogenesis, peripheral neuroscience, or related fields.

Familiarity with data analysis in R and/or Python. Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and omics data analysis will be considered an advantage.

Experience with transcriptomics, single-cell/single-nucleus RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, or image analysis will be considered a plus.

Good scientific communication skills and interest in working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
