LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

(a) Design & Concept Development

Establish project requirements and design briefs with clients

Assess site conditions and feasibility to meet client specifications

Develop creative, cohesive design concepts that integrate indoor and outdoor spaces

Align client preferences with practical, sustainable design solutions

Apply sustainable and environmentally responsible design principles

(b) Technical Design & Documentation

Prepare detailed plans, working drawings, construction details, and specifications using CAD or similar design software

Produce mood boards, presentations, and visual materials

Prepare hardscape and softscape drawings, including plant selection and specifications

Review drawings and specifications, and prepare cost estimates and quotations

(c) Project Coordination & Management

Manage design assignments from inception to completion

Coordinate submission drawings and liaise with relevant authorities

Work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other professionals

Source materials and plants from nurseries and vendors

Ensure timelines, deliverables, and project milestones are met

(d) Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Present proposals and design solutions to clients

Handle enquiries and negotiate design revisions

Conduct site visits, inspections, and evaluations

Attend and lead project meetings

(e) Execution & Oversight

Oversee implementation to ensure design intent is achieved

Evaluate completed designs and recommend improvements where necessary

(f) General

Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned

What we're looking for

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Landscape Architect, preferably within the commercial or residential sectors

• Strong technical skills in CAD, 3D modelling and visualization software

• Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities

• Thorough understanding of landscape design principles, planting schemes and construction methods

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and cross functional teams

• Passion for sustainable and environmentally-friend landscape design
