Job Description
Hybrid: This position requires you to work on-site 3 times a week (Tue to Thu)Design Release Engineering Analyst (Wheels) will be responsible for the development support, release, validation support, and lifecycle management of assigned wheels and related subsystem for vehicle programs. This role requires sound technical judgment, strong collaboration across cross-functional teams, and disciplined execution to deliver solutions that meet functional, quality, cost, weight, timing, and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities* Own the design release and lifecycle management of assigned wheels and related subsystem for vehicle programs.
* Support packaging, vehicle integration, and interface alignment with adjacent systems to ensure fit, function, manufacturability, and serviceability.
* Coordinate engineering changes, deviations, and release actions to support design updates, quality improvements, cost reductions, and program timing needs.
* Participate in root-cause analysis and structured problem solving for design, build, validation, supplier, or launch issues, and help drive corrective actions to closure.
* Collaborate effectively with design, validation, manufacturing, purchasing, supplier quality, program teams, and suppliers to communicate requirements, resolve issues, and support on-time delivery.
* Maintain accurate and current release data, change history, and technical documentation, and capture lessons learned for future programs.
* Proactively raise risks, recommend process improvements, and support continuous improvement in product development processes and program execution.Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
* Experience in the automotive industry, preferably in wheels or related components or subsystems.
* Working knowledge of engineering change management processes, drawings, specifications, and bill of materials structures.
* Familiarity with validation processes, failure analysis, risk assessment methods, quality tools, and structured problem-solving methods.
* Good collaboration, communication, and organizational skills to work across cross-functional and global teams.
* Customer-focused mindset with awareness of quality, cost, timing, and regulatory requirements.
* Advanced English.Preferred Qualifications* Experience in wheels and/or related components or subsystems engineering or analysis.
* Knowledge of product lifecycle management, engineering release, digital visualization, and 3D CAD systems.
* Understanding of wheels and related system components, vehicle interfaces, packaging, manufacturability, serviceability, and performance requirements.
* Ability to review prior design issues, apply lessons learned, and support robust releases for new applications.
* Basic understanding of build support and test configuration control in vehicle development programs.
* This position requires the employee to be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.
