Role OverviewWe seek an experienced Mobile Software Engineer to maintain and develop our Swift and React Native applications. You will work with modern mobile technologies, integrate third-party APIs, and collaborate within a small, supportive team emphasizing trust, respect, and clear communication.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering peers and product managers to ensure clear, prioritized, and successful delivery of work.
- Maintain and enhance features in React Native and Swift (iOS) applications.
- Debug and resolve complex cross-platform issues.
- Provide technical input for the Vox Media mobile roadmap.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure quality.
- Improve mobile CI/CD pipelines.
- Plan future mobile development, including app templates and tools.
- Support development of new mobile apps from scratch.
- Minimum 5+ years in mobile app development with React Native.
- Experience or familiarity with Swift (iOS).
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with testing methodologies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of CodeMagic, Expo, Android Play Store, Testflight.
- Experience with analytics tools like Amplitude.
- Upper-Intermediate English level.
- Experience with other mobile frameworks (e.g., Flutter, Kotlin).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
