Position: Environmental Member Assistant / Housekeeping

Type: Full Time - Monday to Friday - Daylight shifts

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Senior LIFE is an innovative home and community-based Medicare and Medicaid funded program that provides comprehensive healthcare services and support to seniors living in the community. The program aims to enable seniors to remain at home, enjoying familiar surroundings while receiving necessary care. Our team is dedicated to partnering with seniors through open communication and shared decision-making to deliver excellent care and services.

The successful Member Assistant will be an independent worker capable of managing issues as they arise. Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing general maintenance, including repairing indoor and outdoor equipment
  2. Conducting bi-weekly checks and repairs of air purifiers, ice machines, and showers
  3. Performing monthly/quarterly inspections of larger equipment such as HVAC filters, air curtains, kitchen vents, and dryer traps
  4. Ensuring fire safety equipment, alarms, exit signs/lights, and fire extinguishers are operational
  5. Keeping floors, shower rooms, cupboards, and beds clean and disinfected, with regular cleaning and repairs as needed
  6. Completing standard housekeeping duties in bathrooms, laundry rooms, front desk, offices, and therapy areas
  7. Ensuring member linens are regularly laundered, repaired, and replaced as necessary
  8. Maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and odor control in member activity and clinical spaces
  9. Implementing procedures to separate and clean soiled and contaminated linens

A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and a passion for helping others are essential. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED. Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required.
