About the Role

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical research institution, is actively seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Research and Development (R&D) Pharmacist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving the discovery and development of novel pharmaceutical products, from early-stage research through to preclinical and clinical trial phases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong scientific background, extensive experience in drug formulation, characterization, and a proven track record of successful R&D projects. Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute research projects focused on the discovery and development of new drug formulations and delivery systems. Design and conduct preclinical studies to evaluate drug efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic profiles. Develop and optimize pharmaceutical formulations for various routes of administration. Characterize drug substances and drug products using advanced analytical techniques. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including chemists, biologists, toxicologists, and clinical researchers. Prepare comprehensive research reports, scientific publications, and presentations. Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory guidelines in pharmaceutical R&D. Contribute to the intellectual property strategy by identifying patentable inventions. Mentor and guide junior researchers and technicians. Ensure all research activities are conducted in compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

PhD or Master's degree in Pharmacy or a related life science field. Active registration with the Regional Pharmacy Council (CRF). Extensive experience (minimum 7 years) in pharmaceutical research and development. Proven expertise in drug formulation, development of various dosage forms, and drug delivery systems. Strong understanding of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and drug metabolism. Proficiency in a wide range of analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, Mass Spectrometry, DSC). Demonstrated ability to lead complex research projects and manage scientific investigations. Excellent scientific writing and oral communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. Proven ability to work independently and effectively within a remote team environment. Ability to work remotely from any location in Brazil.
