SRE (Infrastructure) — Latin America

We are building the world's premier Risk Management platform for Blockchain Protocols and Digital Assets. We strive to develop our systems by observing the best practices of our craft; this means building reliable, performant, secure and scalable systems, while at the same time enabling our company to deliver the best services and products it can to its customers.

We are evolving our platform to meet the requirements of our customers, and as an SRE you will be able to contribute, influence and take ownership in significant parts of our systems. Our goal is to build a very high performance platform, capable of analysing thousands of transactions across multiple blockchain networks in real-time. We have a cloud-native platform in the making, optimizing for cost, security and the scalability/elasticity.

What this position is all about:

1. Designing, deploying, maintaining and managing our AWS-centric infrastructure using IaC, configuration management and automation. We hate toil with a passion

2. Improving, managing and maintaining our significant Data Pipeline systems.

3. Working under a Scrum or Kanban framework and being responsive in dealing with the needs of the team.

4. Participating in on-call rotations alongside your peers, helping minimize downtime.

5. Owning your work. This means working alongside developers to contribute ideas, suggestions, code on security, observability, automation, scaling, CI/CD, testing, data pipelines. We are one team working on a number of services.

Please note: Our Engineering and SRE teams are predominantly based in Europe. This position is currently open to those resident and currently able to work in Latin America, preferably Brazil, as we strive to increase around-the-clock coverage.

You will need:

1. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

2. Experience in designing and maintaining production-grade, cloud native, asynchronous/event-based microservices-based or serverless infrastructure.

3. Familiarity with GitHub, AWS, Amazon EKS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Argo CD

4. Familiarity with CI/CDpipelines.

5. The ability to function autonomously to solve problems, and implement robust solutions. Our geographic distribution requires people that can work well on their own.

6. The ability to communicate well with your team and other engineers, both interactively and asynchronously, and that of being a positive, constructive team member.

You'll probably be a great fit if you have:

1. Experience with blockchain systems or the web3 ecosystem.

2. Experience in deploying, tuning and maintaining database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

3. Experience in deploying, tuning and maintaining brokers (Apache Kafka)

4. Experience with Airflow and large sets of dynamic jobs
