A project involves development and maintennace of the media TV streaming application for US TV streaming network headquartered in New York, US. The company has existing media streaming application for the iOS and Android Mobile (and other platforms) and would like to develop a new Chromecast application.

A project involves development and maintennace of the media TV streaming application for US TV streaming network headquartered in New York, US. The company has existing media streaming application for the iOS and Android Mobile (and other platforms) and would like to develop a new Chromecast application.

Requirements

Required:

  • 4+ years of commercial programming experience developing JavaScript/TypeScript applications and User Interfaces
  • 3+ years experience using React.js, Redux, Next.js, and strong foundation in core React.js principles.
  • Highly proficient in JavaScript / ES6 and the Document Object Model
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Gulp, Webpack, Esbuild, NPM and Yarn
  • Experience with using and implementing RESTful API interfaces
  • Experience writing unit tests using tools such as Jest, mocha, jasmine or equivalent
  • Good written and verbal English skills – ability to communication with international team members

Nice to have:
  • Experience with analytics libraries (any of Conviva, ComScore, Yobora, Nielsen, Heartbeat, MediaMelon, etc.)
  • Experience with TV streaming applications
  • Experience with video player components (e.g. Video.js, THEOplayer)
  • Experience with subscriptions or other e-commerce systems
  • Experience with GraphQL

Job responsibilities
  • Build innovative features for the media streaming CTV application for the JS-based platforms (Vizio, Tizen, Flex)
  • Code, test, document and deliver features with cross-browser compatibility, accessibility
  • Determine the strategic and tactical direction of the front-end architecture
  • Participate in Agile development process, including scoping, technical design, estimation effort, coding, testing, debugging, code reviews, maintenance and support
  • Collaborate with program managers, marketing, designers, software engineers in tests to build and enhance the UI
  • Innovate and create the best user experience online
