As the Senior Production Operations Director, you will be responsible for building, improving, and enforcing Ways of Working that enhance operational efficiency, streamline production processes, and ensure scalability. A key part of your mandate will be to evaluate AI opportunities, develop training programs, and integrate automation into workflows to drive both speed and cost efficiency. You will collaborate closely with account management, creative, design, editorial, animation, and copywriting teams to implement AI-enhanced solutions while maintaining alignment with client expectations and business objectives.

This Senior Director-level role requires a balance of strategic vision, hands-on execution, and innovation, ensuring scalability as new clients are onboarded and continuous process improvement to support business growth through AI-driven transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Oversee the full project lifecycle, from intake and planning to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client needs.
• Production Workflow Management: Develop and refine Ways of Working to drive efficiency, transparency, and scalability across teams and projects.
• Resource & Capacity Planning: Forecast production volumes to optimize staffing levels and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality outputs.
• Team & Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams—including Account Management, Creative, and Capability teams—to deliver results in a cost-efficient and strategic manner.
• Process Documentation & Optimization: Maintain detailed documentation of workflows and lead continuous improvements based on lessons learned and industry best practices.
• Financial & Budget Oversight: Manage budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring resource allocation aligns with production demands.
• AI Integration & Innovation: Identify opportunities for AI-driven efficiencies, develop a training and implementation roadmap, and lead the rollout across production teams.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance to a core team of three direct reports, while influencing and supporting a dynamic team that scales between 10 and 30 members.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify challenges, mitigate risks, and implement solutions to keep production workflows efficient and client satisfaction high.

About You

• Proven leadership experience at the intersection of Production and Operations within a high-volume studio, agency, or creative production environment.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end production workflows, resource management, and financial oversight, with the ability to balance operational efficiency with creative excellence.
• Experience overseeing large-scale, multi-format content production, including digital, print, transcreation, and campaign adaptation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.
• Strategic thinker with a solutions-oriented mindset, skilled at navigating complexity and driving continuous improvement.
• Experience in resource forecasting, budget planning, and cost management to ensure financial and operational health.
• Familiarity with AI applications in production workflows and the ability to identify, implement, and scale AI efficiencies across teams.
• A collaborative leader who thrives in cross-functional environments, working with account, creative, and operations teams to deliver outstanding results.
