Azumo is currently looking for a highly motivated Big Data Engineer to develop and enhance data and analytics infrastructure. The position is FULLY REMOTE based in Latin America.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a growing team of bright engineering minds in big data computing. The ideal candidate loves designing and developing scalable, high-performance big data infrastructure using Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, or similar frameworks, on premise and in the cloud. Experience in building data pipelines, data services, data warehouses, BI, and ML platforms is required.

Requirements

The Data Engineer will work remotely. Compensation depends on experience and potential.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS or Master's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience with data management responsibilities
  • Expertise in designing and building data warehouses and big data analytics systems
  • Experience manipulating, analyzing, and visualizing data
  • Self-driven, motivated, with a strong work ethic and problem-solving passion
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud services like Airflow, Glue, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure SQL, EMR, Databricks, etc.
  • Experience with Jupyter, Google Colab, or similar notebooks
