Job Description

Purpose of Job/Position

Leads and drives excellence in patient support programs across all business units, working with relevant local functions and global/international teams. Develop, implement & maintain PSP across therapeutic areas. Assess legal and regulatory environment and Takeda ethics considerations relevant to PSP. Develop relationships with leading nurses. Manage PSP vendors to ensure service & compliance. Design & execute strategies to support adherence, develop patient data and digital projects, ensuring compliance with Data Privacy, auditing, and financial accountability.

Accountabilities

  • Assess, develop, implement, and maintain patient support programs across therapeutic areas in alignment with cross-functional partners.
  • Assess local legal and regulatory environment relevant to patient support programs.
  • Adhere to internal ethics and compliance guidelines in daily activities.
  • Manage third-party patient support providers, ensuring quality and managing budgets.
  • Monitor global policies and audit processes, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Participate in developing PSP policies for Argentina and Chile, sharing best practices regionally.
  • Coordinate with medical management and other areas on communication of results and challenges.
  • Develop relationships with nurses, training them on products and services.
  • Monitor impact and execution of current patient services.
  • Represent patients in local leadership teams and report on progress.
  • Develop and track KPIs.

Functional Knowledge & Business Expertise

  • Experience with designing and implementing patient support programs preferred.
  • Strong understanding of patient support environment.
  • Proven project & change management experience.
  • Experience in Market Access and External Affairs desirable.

Communication Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Ability to drive consensus among stakeholders.

Innovation

  • Ability to find solutions in ambiguous situations.
  • Environmental scanning to identify future needs.

  • Medical diploma (nurse, clinical officer, doctor) or degree in a scientific discipline.

Additional Information

  • Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical or healthcare services, including management experience.
  • Experience with product support services and program development.
  • Understanding reimbursement and access programs.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Regional and international travel availability.
