The Quality Department at our Vestas blade component factory is a vital part of our operations, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of excellence. Our team is responsible for both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC), two critical aspects of our production process.
Responsibilities
- Improve product quality performance (CTQ)
- Accountable for quality documents in process
- Developing and implementing quality standards and quality control systems
- Monitoring and analyzing quality performance
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
- Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations
- Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues
- Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field
- 3+ years in a quality engineering or quality within manufacturing or engineering
- Knowledge of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean APQP)
- Experience with Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for identifying and mitigating process risks
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, SPC, and MSA
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Analytical thinking - Ability to assess complex systems, identify patterns and solve problems using data-driven approaches
- Attention to detail - Precision in reviewing specifications, documentation, and test results to ensure compliance to quality
- Process improvement mindset - Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance quality and efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives
- Decision making - Make sound judgements based on data, risk assessment quality standards
- Customer focus - Understand and anticipate customer needs, ensuring products and processes meet or exceed expectations
