Manager, Commercial Acceptance
Job Overview:
The global business-to-business (B2B) payment market is in the range of USD 120 trillion. Most of it happens on non-card rails, representing a tremendous growth opportunity for Mastercard's Commercial Products and Solutions.
As the Manager, B2B Acceptance, Commercial Solutions for Brazil, you will become a Subject Matter Expert and driver of B2B acceptance, working closely with regional and global product teams, business development teams, and acquirers to deliver incremental B2B volume. You will also be responsible for leading the B2B acceptance strategy within the division. To achieve your GDV growth objectives, you will become a Large Market Commercial Products thought leader with a robust understanding of corporate supplier payments.
You will report to the Director, B2B Corporate Acceptance, and partner with Regional and Market Leads to achieve objectives aligned with market priorities. Your relationship and effectiveness working with market and sales teams will be crucial for successful strategy execution.
Major Accountabilities:
- Lead and execute strategies to remove operational barriers to drive B2B Acceptance.
- Provide thought leadership to the global product team on B2B Merchant, acquiring, fintech issues, pain points, and opportunities.
- Lead market research activities to build B2B Acceptance trends and insights.
- Build educational collateral to promote B2B Acceptance across the ecosystem.
- Collaborate with the broader Corporate Solutions organization and champion Corporate Acceptance to develop products and solutions.
- Work with internal and external partners to drive incremental merchant commercial payment acceptance.
- Coordinate with Issuers, Acquirers, and Account Management teams to leverage acceptance assets and grow portfolios.
- Ensure optimal utilization of Mastercard resources to meet objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business.
- 5-8 years of related experience in B2B merchant, acquiring product, business development, and strategy, with at least two years of management experience preferred.
- Proven track record in building effective supplier value propositions on the acquiring side.
- Strong sales, consultative skills, and executive presence.
- Data analysis and Excel skills to derive insights and strategy.
- Knowledge of the B2B payments industry, trends, Merchant & Commerce landscape, acquirer economics, and value chain; experience in Accounts Receivables is a plus.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate in a matrix organization.
- Proven sales record and ability to execute in a dynamic environment.
- Strong business, market, financial analysis, and project management skills.
Skills/Abilities:
- Bilingual in Portuguese/English; Spanish is desirable.
- Effective interaction and coordination with internal and external partners.
- Business acumen and solution-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated with a success-driven track record.
- Some travel required; work in a general office environment.
