We are actively seeking a Sr. Support Engineer, SAP Hana/Basis. This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in Brazil.

Position Summary

The Sr. Support Engineer, SAP Hana/Basis provides exceptional remote-based support for mission-critical SAP applications as part of our global customer support team. This role researches, troubleshoots, and supports multiple client architectures and implementations for clients using SAP 4.x, ECC, and HANA environments. The candidate will diagnose issues and develop, test, package, and deliver fixes in complex, integrated, and highly configured environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Solve complex customer issues using methodical troubleshooting based on expert knowledge of SAP applications functionality and technology.
• Work closely with customers daily to understand their needs, support business change, and deliver a high-quality customer experience.
• Provide remote-based functional support and training for specialist SAP modules.
• Support client customizations, sharing implementation and best practices advice.
• Develop application break fixes for critical product defects.
• Create scripts to identify, analyze, and correct data issues.
• Manage one or more key assigned accounts as a technical/functional advisor.
• Provide hands-on assistance using proprietary tools in a test environment or via remote client connectivity.
• Be a pro-active contributor to a 24x7x365 support organization; ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and monitor email outside standard hours.
• Collaborate with team members in a virtual environment to extend field experience to different client situations.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and processes to improve the client experience.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Experience

• 10+ years of relevant SAP experience, particularly with SAP S/4HANA / Basis.
• Working knowledge as a system administrator with at least two of the following: Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX or Windows.
• Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle/MS-SQL/DB2/Sybase/SAP HANA.
• Expertise in SAP HANA in-memory platform core technology, including architecture, landscape design, installation, upgrades, performance tuning, and system migration.
• Track record of successful roles in several SAP implementation or upgrade projects.
• Deep working knowledge of supporting business processes and SAP architecture.
• Expertise with S/4HANA including full life-cycle implementation experience, configuration, and administration of the application.
• Knowledge of maintenance/patching mechanics and SAP architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems across multiple modules.
• Experience with ABAP Debug and Troubleshooting.
• Nice to have experience with SAP SWPM tool.

• Strong knowledge of key SAP application functionality, tables, and relationships.
• Deep knowledge of SAP customization/extension methodologies.
• Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to work remotely from a home-based office in a virtual environment.

Desired Qualifications

• SAP certification(s) preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of multiple SAP modules across releases (S/4HANA), including business processes, navigation, configuration, integration, and underlying technology.
• Knowledge of SAP Industry Solutions or country-specific solutions is a plus.
• Consulting background is useful but not mandatory.
• Experience with global implementations is an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Location

• Remote, Brazil

Language

• Fluent Portuguese and English. Spanish and/or Japanese is a plus.
