About the role
Manage and oversee the daily smooth operations and management of facilities including repairs, preventive maintenance, project management, and support for corporate functions and activities. Assist Management to review, identify and make recommendations on improvement works to ensure all works carried out in the Club comply with relevant government legislations, standards and requirements. Perform as Fire Safety Manager (FSM) for the Club and ensure the premises are in accordance with the Building Control and Fire Safety Act.
Key responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily smooth operations and management of facilities in the following areas:
-Facilities repairs and preventive maintenance;
- Project management including planning, executing and managing costs within budget and timeline;
-Provide support including setting up, audio-visual for the Club in corporate functions and activities.
Assist Management to review, identify and make recommendations on any improvement works to the M&E/facilities/buildings, and all works carried out in the Club to comply with the relevant government legislations, standards and requirements.
Responsible for all the projects and facilities tender process, prepare and recommend in seeking approval from the Management and Committees.
Ensure all preventive, corrective maintenance and ad-hoc works are duly carried out, tracked and documented.
Manage and supervise, guide and provide proper training to the team in maintaining high work standards and service, and ensure their works are strictly adhere to safety guidelines and requirements at all times; Actively encourage an environment that drive teamwork, co-operation & performance excellence.
Review and ensure all administration, contracts and SOPs are in place and duly documented.
Prepare the annual budget for the above stated functions and thereafter to practise diligent budgetary control and report any variances to General Manager.
Provide regular updates to the stakeholders and users on matters regarding the maintenance and management of the premises.
Perform as Fire Safety Manager (FSM) for the Club and ensure the premises are in accordance with the Building Control and Fire Safety Act.
Participate in the Club’s bizSAFE Risk Management Team, contributing to risk assessments, the implementation of risk control measures, and regular reviews of workplace safety procedures.
Notwithstanding the above, you are expected to carry out other duties as and when directed by Management.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Facilities Management Services / Estate Management / Building Maintenance /Engineering or related fields
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Facilities Management or Build Environment industry
Possess Fire Safety Manager certification preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Leadership and team management capabilities, able to work collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve Club's objectives
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken, with the ability to coordinate with stakeholders at all levels
Strong project management and problem-solving skills
