Job Description

This position is for an applications support resource that will be tasked to demonstrate technical and operational expertise in the Rates, Commodities, Currencies exchange and FX Options businesses of JPMorgan. The role involves working as part of the Production Management team, collaborating closely with both Technology and Business partners to ensure timely analysis and resolution of daily issues. The business engages in a variety of activities, including trading different financial instruments using several integrated applications.

Job Description

This position is for an applications support resource that will be tasked to demonstrate technical and operational expertise in the Rates, Commodities, Currencies exchange and FX Options businesses of JPMorgan. The role involves working as part of the Production Management team, collaborating closely with both Technology and Business partners to ensure timely analysis and resolution of daily issues. The business engages in a variety of activities, including trading different financial instruments using several integrated applications.

This role is part of the Macro Risk Central framework. Key success criteria include providing day-to-day support for trade processing, risk, and market data issues, managing application releases, handling crisis events, and ensuring effective monitoring and system hygiene.

Objectives

  • Support global applications customers within the production environment, including an extensive and practical understanding of the application
  • Maintain Global relationships with various other support teams as well as business users.
  • Perform timely escalation of critical production environment incidents and proactively identify patterns of recurring incidents to improve service capabilities.
  • Develop and utilize core tools and processes to perform daily function whilst improving day to day practices for the global production management group.
  • Adopt a DevOps culture to accomplish final solutions to repetitive problems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work in an energetic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Interface with Business users as necessary for defining requirements and streamlining design.
  • Modify and enhance existing system to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance.
  • Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
  • Provide production support by identify root cause and propose solutions.
  • Establish working relationships with various application teams and key team members and across the technology organization as appropriate.
  • Interaction with different business groups like Product Control, Finance, Market Risk, Front-office and Middle-office users.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  • 1+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
  • Familiarity with applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment on-premises or in the public cloud
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Client Oriented.
  • Solid Organizational skills; detailed oriented and great reading comprehension.
  • Capable of handling changes/uncertainty by quickly adapting to new processes.
  • PL/SQL or SQL.
  • Knowledge in Git, Unix, Linux, Java
  • Basic knowledge of AWS, CloudWatch and Datadog

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  • Exposure to one or more general-purpose programming languages or automation scripting
  • Exposure to Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
