Title and Summary

Director Product Manager (HR Product & Tech) Overview:

The HR Product & Technology team designs, develops, and implements technology that helps improve and engage the employee experience.

Are you experienced in developing inspiring platform/product visions, derived from business needs, market opportunities, and technology trends?

Do you enjoy using the Working Backwards method, decomposing business requirements and customer experiences into features and functions that drive the platform/product roadmap?

Enjoy working with Business Owners, Developers, and UX designers to define the details behind the business requirements?

Role:

1. Makes use of research, user studies, metrics, and competitive analysis to understand the software and business needs for product management.
2. Participates with the business in research and feedback to inform platform product and feature needs.
3. Identifies gaps and defines charters for new capabilities as required.
4. Compares features for competitive review to inform prioritization within a platform product release and makes trade-offs.
5. Identifies innovations or performs test-and-learn experiments to create new product opportunities.
6. Contributes near-term input for product management roadmaps.
7. Uses metrics as a feedback loop into backlog priorities.
8. Dives deep into the work of the team, identifies short- and medium-term risks to platform product development and segment adoption, and proposes solutions.
9. Exhibits expertise within platform feature areas and coordinates with interdependent teams.
10. Digests business customer requirements (user stories, use cases) and platform requirements for a platform feature set.
11. Has visibility into the design of the user experience using Workday Integrations.
12. Determines release goals for the platform and prioritizes features according to business and platform value, adjusting throughout implementation.
13. Continuously monitors feature development at the feature level.
14. Reviews product demos with the development team against acceptance criteria.
15. Prepares launches and monitors platform performance, adoption, and operational health.
16. Identifies issues that may delay delivery or affect quality and communicates to leadership.
17. Supports post-launch reviews and feedback incorporation.

All About You:

• Passion for HR Technology - Workday Expert in at least three modules; experience with other HR technologies is a plus.
• A strong problem-solver, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Curious and analytical, always seeking to understand "what if?" and "that's weird" scenarios.
• Experience in product management and creating impactful features.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build relationships across levels and functions in a diverse, global team.
