Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brasil Stellantis South America Tempo integral R$ 300.000 - R$ 520.000 Contrato

Do you have a passion for automotive technology? Are you eager to revolutionize software development for cars? If so, we have the perfect role for you.

Stellantis is the fourth-largest car manufacturer in the world, a global leader in mobility solutions that are clean, connected, affordable, and safe. We own some of the most iconic car brands, including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, and Vauxhall.

We are looking for a Software Architect to join our organization and work with the architecture of AWS-based backend platforms and services supporting our global connected vehicle ecosystem.

This role combines software architecture, project management, and hands‑on technical leadership. The architect will work with different teams, organizations, suppliers, and technology partners to make sure we are delivering scalable, secure, highly available, and resilient solutions.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technical leader who can move comfortably between high‑level architecture, implementation details, and project management help development teams solve complex technical challenges and take ownership of delivering solutions from design through production.

The Connected Vehicle ecosystem is a highly complex and interconnected environment that spans the entire journey from in‑vehicle systems to cloud‑based and enterprise back‑end platforms. The Software Architect will operate primarily on the off‑board side, working together with different teams, organizations, suppliers evolving the AWS‑based backend platforms that enable connected vehicle services and their integration with in‑vehicle systems.

The ecosystem encompasses a wide range of technologies and platforms, including cloud services, vehicle connectivity, APIs, messaging and event‑driven systems, mobile applications, customer channels, back‑office platforms, contact centers, and third‑party systems. These components are owned and operated by different teams, organizations, suppliers, and technology partners, creating a highly integrated and constantly evolving technical landscape.

Stellantis follows a "build once, deploy globally" approach whenever possible. This requires designing global solutions that are standardized and reusable while still allowing for regional adaptations, market‑specific requirements, regulatory constraints, and differences in local ecosystems.

Another key challenge is balancing architectural quality with business and delivery needs. The architect must make pragmatic technical decisions that consider time‑to‑market, cost, operational complexity, technical debt, security, and long‑term maintainability rather than optimizing for architecture in isolation.

The role also requires a hands‑on approach to problem solving. The architect is expected to work closely with development and operations teams, investigate issues down to the code and infrastructure level, analyze logs and telemetry, understand failures across system boundaries, and help drive complex problems through to resolution. Also to work proactively across teams, organizations, suppliers, and technology partners, taking ownership of dependencies and blockers and driving actions to ensure all deliverables are completed successfully and on time.

Success in this environment requires someone who can connect the dots across the entire ecosystem, simplify complex problems, influence multiple teams, and take ownership from architecture through implementation and production operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and promote architecture patterns, technical standards, and best practices for backend development and cloud solutions.
  • Evaluate technical alternatives and provide recommendations based on scalability, maintainability, reliability, security, performance, and total cost of ownership.
  • Act as a hands‑on architect, actively participating in the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of backend solutions. Be prepared to dive into the code and AWS environment when necessary to understand problems and help implement solutions.
  • Take ownership beyond formal responsibilities by proactively removing blockers, engaging the right people and teams, resolving dependencies, and doing whatever is necessary to ensure commitments are successfully delivered.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business requirements, Stellantis architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and enterprise technology strategies.
  • Act as a technical consultant to business and product teams, translating business needs into practical and sustainable technical solutions.
  • Design and validate end‑to‑end solutions, including sequence flows, data flow diagrams, infrastructure architecture, integration patterns, and overall feature design, incl
