Engineering Manager, AI Workspace

This is a high-impact leadership role with strong technical involvement. You'll be responsible for guiding the team's day-to-day execution, driving engineering excellence, and partnering closely with Product and Design to deliver innovative, AI-powered experiences from scratch.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Agent Experience is a new strategic initiative at VTEX focused on applying generative AI to redefine how users interact with our platform. The team plays a core role in building both the platform and agents that will power conversational experiences across the ecosystem.The team also collaborates closely with other VTEX teams to embed AI agents into diverse product areas.

WHO YOU ARE

• Strong background in people management, especially with senior engineering teams;
• Previous experience with generative AI or innovation teams, whether leading projects, incubating ideas, or working in R&D settings;
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, API design, and backend architecture;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform/CDK), and container orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS);
• Comfortable with cloud platforms and building scalable services;
• Experience working with data-driven decision making and engineering metrics;
• Fluent or advanced English.
