Job Summary

Our US-based client is a leading solar energy solutions provider in Texas, committed to delivering efficient and sustainable power to our communities. The Field Support Engineer (FSE) is a key role within our client's operations team, focused on enhancing field operations. This position strengthens technical response capabilities, maximizes crew installation efficiency, and ensures high-quality standards for installation, inspection, and service processes. The FSE serves as a direct resource for installers and electricians, facilitating smooth coordination between field teams, project coordinators (PCs), and leadership. Additionally, the role plays a crucial part in troubleshooting technical challenges and optimizing resource allocation to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address technical concerns and operational challenges encountered by field teams on a day-to-day basis.
  • Support installers and electricians by providing guidance on technical issues, including failed inspections and complex electrical work.
  • Assist in performance management by tracking field performance and offering constructive feedback to crews.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of field personnel and resources, making real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between field teams and project coordinators to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Provide live support at job sites when necessary to ensure installations and services are completed successfully.
  • Monitor and report recurring field issues to identify areas for improvement in installation processes.
  • Train and help develop field employees, offering technical knowledge and best practices to enhance job site performance.
Qualifications
  • Advanced English level written & spoken
  • Engineering background in one of the following disciplines, in order of preference: Energy Engineering (Preferred), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, would be preferred
  • If the candidate does not have a degree in Energy Engineering, completion of a course or training in Solar PV systems is highly valuable. This ensures they have the necessary foundational knowledge to support field operations effectively.
  • Construction management experience is highly valuable
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving field-related technical challenges.
  • Licensing: NABCEP certification or electrical licensing is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with local electrical and building codes related to solar installations is a plus.
Requirements:
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve installation, electrical, and structural challenges in real time.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively relay technical information between field teams and office personnel.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving field operations.
  • High level of organizational skills to track, prioritize, and respond to field support needs
Time zone and working hours: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm CST.

Compensation: 2,000 - 3,000 usd/month
