Sr Payroll Analyst

Overview

The Sr Payroll Analyst will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processes across multiple countries. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of payroll, tax payments, and related activities. The position supports HR teams and employees by resolving payroll-related inquiries with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include managing payroll vendors, reviewing payrolls, ensuring compliance with internal controls, supporting audits, and contributing to global expansion projects such as acquisitions or new country setups. A critical aspect is identifying opportunities for process improvement and maintaining detailed documentation and procedural guidelines.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.

Role

  • Manage country portfolio for payroll and benefit administration operationally
  • Ensure monthly labor reporting is accurate and support reconciliation processes
  • Provide support to HR and employees by researching inquiries and delivering excellent customer service
  • Ensure payroll accuracy following all controls
  • Create purchase orders as needed, review invoices, and ensure proper invoice clearance
  • Identify problems requiring investigation and develop solutions
  • Support expansion projects including acquisitions and new countries
  • Manage funding and process payments to ensure timely employee payments
  • Process tax payments for different countries
  • Attend mandatory audits, providing reports and information as needed
  • Manage payroll vendors and ensure timely payroll activities
  • Seek process improvements
  • Create and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and internal procedures

All about You/Experience

  • Proficient in Portuguese, English, and Spanish (speaking and writing)
  • Experience in payroll, finance, or accounting
  • Process management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Highly organized, articulate, and capable of developing strong working relationships
  • Excellent communication skills and initiative
  • Ability to work independently and in teams to complete time-sensitive projects
