Whatyouwilldo:

• Design and evolve the grammar, metamodel, and semantics of a domain-specific language using Xtext and EMF.
• Build parsers, validators, scoping and linking rules, and code generators.
• Implement and maintain Language Server Protocol (LSP) features: completion, diagnostics, navigation, hover, and refactoring.
• Develop on top of the Eclipse Platform and its plugin architecture.
• Write modern Java (JDK 25) with Maven-based builds, automated tests, and continuous integration.
• Work with the web and IDE teams so the language works smoothly in VS Code and in the browser.
• Take part in technical decisions, code reviews, and the long-term architecture of the language tooling.

What we are looking for:

• Solid, senior-level experience with Java, ideally with recent JDK versions.
• Experience with Maven.
• Proven experience building at least one of the following: a DSL, a parser, a compiler or transpiler, a code generator, or an IDE plugin.
• Advanced English for daily communication with an international client.

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with Xtext and EMF.
• Experience with the Eclipse Platform: plugins, OSGi, or Eclipse RCP.
• Knowledge of the Language Server Protocol, ideally having implemented language features with it.
• Experience with Franca IDL or other interface definition languages (e.g., Protobuf, gRPC, OpenAPI, AIDL).
• Gradle.
• Go.
• Ecore, Sirius, Acceleo, or model-driven engineering (MDE).
• Work with ASTs, type systems, or static analysis.
• A personal or open-source language, compiler, or IDE plugin project.
• Automotive domain knowledge (e.g., SOME/ip, CommonAPI, vsomeip, AUTOSAR).
