Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and execution of data center moves and migrations
- Assess physical and logical dependencies prior to migrations
- Support the installation, relocation, and activation of servers, storage systems, switches, and appliances
- Work with racks, cabling, interfaces, optical fibers, and transceivers
- Administer physical servers and virtualized environments
- Support configuration and troubleshooting of connectivity for servers, storage, and management networks
- Participate in the migration of virtual machines, services, and workloads between environments
- Perform pre- and post-change validation
- Develop execution, contingency, and rollback plans
- Analyze failures, bottlenecks, and outages
- Interact with carriers, vendors, and data center partners
- Document topologies, connections, inventory, and technical procedures
Requirements
- Strong experience with on-premises infrastructure
- Hands-on experience in data center environments
- Experience with data center move or migration projects
- Knowledge of servers, virtualization, and storage
- Knowledge of Ethernet and Fibre Channel networks
- Knowledge of VLANs, trunks, interfaces, and server connectivity
- Knowledge of structured cabling and optical fiber
- Experience troubleshooting physical and logical infrastructure
- Availability to work on-site during changes and scheduled maintenance windows
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and Failover Cluster
- Preferred: Experience with Cisco, Huawei, or equivalent technologies
- Preferred: Experience with Fibre Channel SAN
- Preferred: Experience with Pure Storage or IBM FlashSystem
- Preferred: Knowledge of Veeam
- Preferred: Experience with contingency planning and disaster recovery projects
- Preferred: Participation in the migration of critical environments between data centers

Demonstrates expertise in data center migrations, including planning, execution, and troubleshooting of physical and logical infrastructure. Proficient in managing servers, storage systems, and virtualization technologies while ensuring effective documentation and contingency planning.
