PACU Registered Nurse Jobs – Local Contract Opportunity in Bethlehem, PA

Key Job Details
- Location: Bethlehem, PA 18015 – Pennsylvania nursing jobs
- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Contract Length: 8-week local contract
- Start Dates: September 8 or September 15, 2025
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shifts: Choose between 3x12-hour shifts (10:00am–10:30pm) or 4x10-hour shifts (12:00pm–10:30pm)
- On-Call: 24 hours on-call over 6 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2130
- Employment Type: Local contract nursing job
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- At least 1 year of recent PACU experience in a hospital setting (not limited to same day surgery centers)
- BLS certification required
- Proven clinical skills in post-anesthesia care
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia after surgical procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold hospital standards of care
