About the role
Manage and support the end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, from design, planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and project close-out. Involvement in the design and engineering of Process Exhaust Systems, including scrubbers, exhaust fans, ductwork, exhaust stacks, and associated equipment, or HVAC systems.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare engineering calculations, equipment sizing, technical specifications, drawings, and material take-offs
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met
- Monitor project progress, schedules, costs, and resources to ensure timely and successful project completion
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and coordination meetings to support project execution and resolve technical issues
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Identify project risks, technical issues, and potential delays, and implement appropriate mitigation measures
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, method statements, risk assessments, testing and commissioning reports, and as-built documentation
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams and junior engineers when required
- Assist in tender preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, budgeting, and proposal submissions
- Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental requirements throughout project execution
About you
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering or project management experience
- Experience in the design and execution of Process Exhaust Systems (scrubbers, exhaust fans, ductwork, exhaust stacks, and associated equipment) or HVAC systems
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Knowledge of industrial ventilation systems, airflow principles, duct sizing, equipment selection, and installation practices
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for tender costing, budgeting, and basic data analysis
