Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor and optimize production SQL Server and Oracle database environments, ensuring availability, performance, security and continuity of services;
  • Plan and execute database installation, configuration, upgrade, migration and update activities, meeting business requirements and market best practices;
  • Manage and optimize backup, restore and disaster recovery routines, ensuring data integrity and availability;
  • Perform performance analyses and tuning of infrastructure, databases and applications, proposing improvements to increase efficiency and stability of environments;
  • Manage access, apply patches and ensure compliance with security, audit and data governance policies;
  • Participate in the technical and financial evaluation of database and infrastructure solutions, considering licensing, costs and benefits;
  • Take part in strategic projects related to modernizing data environments, process automation and adopting new technologies;
  • Develop and implement automations for operational activities, reducing manual tasks and increasing process efficiency;
  • Provide technical support to multidisciplinary teams, acting as a reference in the database area and sharing knowledge with professionals of different seniority levels;
  • Represent the area in technical forums, meetings and global initiatives, contributing to decision-making and alignment with corporate strategies;
  • Work in compliance with agile methodologies and IT service management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields;
  • Proven experience in administration of SQL Server and Oracle databases;
  • Solid experience in implementation, support and administration of production database environments;
  • Experience in migration, upgrade and modernization projects for database platforms;
  • Advanced knowledge in installation, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of SQL Server and Oracle environments;
  • Experience with backup, restore and disaster recovery strategies in corporate environments;
  • Knowledge in performance analysis, tuning and capacity planning of databases;
  • SQL Server On‑Premises and Oracle On‑Premises;
  • Windows Cluster and SQL Server Always On;
  • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Profiler and Windows Performance Monitor;
  • Oracle Database on Red Hat Linux environment;
  • Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RMAN and Oracle Enterprise Manager (Diagnostic and Tuning Pack);
  • Knowledge of database infrastructure governance, including security, audit, segregation of duties and environment standardization;
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) and IT service management processes based on ITIL.
