About the Role: Fragomen's Senior Business Immigration Consultant position offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact on our business, along with training, development, and long-term growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform substantive, client-facing work, including case-related duties requiring specialized knowledge in employment-based immigration.
  • Independently prepare and file petitions with government agencies, including document gathering, review, analysis, and drafting.
  • Oversee case status using case management and billing systems, generate reports, and assist with case review.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in employment-based immigration, providing guidance to the team.
  • Engage with clients to intake cases, troubleshoot issues, establish strategies, and suggest process improvements.
  • Produce clear, organized written work demonstrating immigration knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate proactively with foreign nationals and clients regarding case status and inquiries.
  • Meet deadlines aligned with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and communicate case progress and escalations to supervisors.
  • Recognize policy changes impacting work and collaborate with leadership to adapt processes.
  • Utilize case management and reporting tools effectively.
  • Contribute to team and individual productivity goals.
  • Follow firm standards and policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks, including Data Privacy protocols.
  • Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and standardization.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or Paralegal certificate plus 5 years of immigration experience, or
  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of immigration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of procedural requirements for nonimmigrant and immigrant visas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and drafting proficiency without AI assistance.
  • Experience with MS Word and Excel.
  • Desire to contribute positively to the work environment and promote teamwork.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.
