Blue Altair is seeking a full-time, temporary Financial Analyst to support our client. In this role, you will be responsible for validating large financial data sets and troubleshooting data-related issues. You will become the go-to expert on data inconsistencies across multiple providers and work closely with the product manager to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with complex data, and improving data quality and reliability.

Responsibilities
  1. Own data reporting: Monitor and track key data patterns and drivers of data break "burndown" numbers. Escalate and present these findings to the Product Manager.
  2. Measure, report, and escalate File Delivery completeness: Work with vendors to process exceptions and ensure files are provided for each period.
  3. Monitor and prioritize focus for Financial Ratio Completeness: Investigate why key ratios are blank or not tying out.
  4. Troubleshoot Power BI issues: Identify reasons for missing values or periods in Power BI.
  5. Triaging issues with Data Vendors: Use JIRA to ensure vendors prioritize correct issues.
  6. Re-test fixes provided by vendors: Confirm whether issues are resolved.
  7. Suggest improvements for Automated Test Design: Propose new automated test cases.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of advanced Data Analysis experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Financial Concepts
  • 1+ year of SQL experience
  • Ability to work remotely, supporting clients in the Eastern Time Zone
