Financial Analyst Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to launch their career in accounting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records and financial controls for specific business groups. They will also assist in the day-to-day maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger, prepare reconciliations of general ledger account balances, and identify and resolve reconciling items.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger
    • Prepare reconciliations of general ledger account balances, identifying and resolving reconciling items
    • Assist with maintenance of fixed assets, including asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers and construction in progress
    • Update various reports with current month-end information (discretionary spend, intercompany detail, allocation entry)
    • Prepare basic financial reports
Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants should have a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Excel and Access, ability to work independently, self-starter mentality, two years of experience in accounting, strong attention to detail, sensitivity to deadlines, result-oriented approach, and high level of integrity.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Proficient in Excel and Access
    • Ability to work independently and a self-starter
    • Two years of experience in accounting
    • Strong attention to detail, with sensitivity to deadlines
    • Result oriented, proactive, and possess a high level of integrity
