Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations Manager at Platton in São Paulo, SP. The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the Operations Department team, normalizing, standardizing, and monitoring the work of the Operations Department.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of freight forwarding operations, including import/export processes, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Supervise and provide leadership to a team of operations staff, including freight coordinators, warehouse personnel, and other support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales, customer service, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of customer orders and projects.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Resolve operational issues and customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and customer focus within the operations team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in import/export coordination or customs brokerage, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade documentation requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., customs clearance software, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
