**Job Purpose**

As a Material and Production Planner, your primary purpose is to oversee the planning and scheduling of materials and production activities to ensure timely availability of materials and efficient utilization of resources in the manufacturing process. You will collaborate with various departments to optimize inventory levels, minimize production delays, and meet customer demand while maintaining cost-effective operations.

**Job Context**

Operating inside Supply Chain, the PCPM works closely with production, procurement team, and warehouse focus on materials planning and production scheduling activities.

**Job Dimensions**
- Reports to: Supply Chain Manager
- Collaborates with: Production Managers, Procurement Team, Warehouse and PM.

**Key Accountabilities**

1. Materials Planning:

- Forecast material requirements based on production schedules, sales forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials, components, and supplies.
- Load a bill of materials into AX, from the release of materials by Engineering.

2. Production Scheduling:

- Develop and maintain production schedules based on capacity, resources, and customer demand.
- Balance production priorities and optimize scheduling to meet delivery deadlines and production targets.

3. Inventory Support:

- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure sufficient stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Analyze differences in inventories and point out as causes and origin of differences in balances.

4. Production planning:

- Communicate production schedules and material requirements to production teams and other relevant departments.
- Work with production manager to resolve scheduling conflicts and production issues.

5. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements in materials planning and production scheduling and anticipate supply risks by Project.
- Implement best practices and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in production planning processes.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyze production data, material usage, and inventory levels to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Analyze how projects are modified, point out new needs and inform the physicist.
- Prepare and present reports on production performance, inventory status, and materials planning metrics.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, logistics, and sales, to ensure alignment of materials planning and production scheduling with overall business objectives.
- Participate in meetings and provide input on production planning and materials management issues.

**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in materials planning, production scheduling, or supply chain routines, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management principles, and materials planning techniques.
- Proficiency in materials planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.

**Behavioural Competencies**
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
