Manager, Manufacturing Finance

**Position Overview**:
As the **_Manufacturing Finance Manager_**, you will be part of the Global Aerosol Manufacturing Finance Team; reporting to the Global Director of Manufacturing Finance. You will contribute to Ball’s success by optimizing Economic Value Added (EVA) and operating earnings of the manufacturing function throughout the Americas Aerosol plants (currently Brazil, Mexico, United States and Canada).

**Your Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Lead business/manufacturing EVA optimization for Americas Aerosol division.
- Own the reporting and results for the Americas Aerosol/Slugs portion of the divisional monthly manufacturing review.
- Manage plant controllers and other Operations Managers to assure Americas Aerosol manufacturing goals and metrics are exceeded on tasks such as:

- Manufacturing performance (production, efficiency, spoilage, claims, etc.)
- Manufacturing costs (incl. Labor costs/Headcount) vs. Budget/FC/PY
- Productivity Improvements
- Benchmarking/best practices
- Main projects/opportunities/risks
- Strategically lead continuous improvement, simplification, standardization, alignment of manufacturing reporting through adequate tools/processes/procedures.
- Increase awareness of the EVA and financial principles in the organization.
- Use proactive and effective best cost, best value approach to identify opportunities in the organization to make better operational and strategic decisions.
- Create, analyze and simplify global capital expenditure budget and actual reports.
- Ensure capital expenditures are in-line with the operational requirements and strategy.
- Provide analysis and guidance on capital project documentation creation (AFE’s).
- Manage internal controls/compliance in the Americas Aerosol plants and support internal audits
- Manage Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and UK Bribery Act guidelines inside the organization
- Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls are operating within the plants
- Validate that plants are properly supporting internal audit and action plan follow-up
- Support external audits
- Interact with legal department to ensure compliance on any transactions.
- Support tax audits with the plant and the corporate tax department.
- Lead the deployment and alignment of any Global Business Services (GBS) tasks within the Americas Aerosol region.
- Project/Analysis:

- Contribute actively to any Projects/Greenfield/Acquisition
- Ad hoc projects & improvements
- Ad hoc reporting & analysis as required
- Budget responsibilities: Manufacturing costs in Americas Aerosol Global Capital

**Required Experience and Skills and Competencies**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or other relevant accounting or finance discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible finance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Professional Accountant Certifications.
- Experience with U.S. based Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in English language.

**Preferred Experience, Skills and Competencies**:

- Core skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership skills, negotiation skills, decision making skills, ability to work independently, delegation skills.
- Other divisional languages are highly preferred ( Spanish, French or Portuguese).
