**Job Summary**:
The Citi Commercial Bank LATAM Credit Team is searching for a Credit Officer (RCO) in Brazil. This position will be responsible for risk managing and CO approving corporate credit exposures (including loans, derivatives and cash management products) to existing and new clients in the Brazil Portfolio across several industries. The position will interact heavily with Citigroup’s Underwriting organization in pursuit of its portfolio management and approval duties.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Manage a portfolio of existing credit exposures (including IG and NIG loans, derivatives, cash management products) to Citi's Brazil clients in compliance with Citigroup’s policies, procedures and best practices
- Approve new transactions and periodic credit reviews (Annuals, Quarterlies, Classified Credit Reviews) as an CO. Transactions include acquisition financing, leveraged financing, ABL lending, recapitalizations, derivatives, securitizations, cash management products
- Partner and collaborate closely with Citi underwriting, relationship and product organizations
- Communicate clearly with constituents, particularly with respect to “pushback” (transactions not to be approved, modification to structure or additional due diligence/conditions to approval)
- Advise and make concise approval recommendations to senior risk management

Interact directly with Internal Audit and banking regulators during their periodic and ad-hoc reviews
- Assist with special projects
- Co-manage classified credits with Citi’s work out group (Special Assets)
- Work with Business colleagues on risk mitigation at both inception of transactions and on an ongoing basis.

**Qualifications and Competencies**:

- Citi Credit Officer (CO L1), or equivalent title held at a major banking organization, required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics preferred
- An MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred and formal Credit Training is a plus
- 5 - 7 years credit risk experience, preferably gained at either Citigroup or at a major financial institution
- Multiple years of experience in risk managing in multiple industries
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with relationship and product partners.
- Experience with Leverage Finance and the regulatory framework governing Leverage Finance.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and bank and capital markets products and services
- Ability to work within the bank’s credit risk management framework, policies and procedures
- Proven strong analytical and credit analysis skills with good attention to detail and ability to provide big picture decision making
- Ability to conduct business due diligence and assess a company’s strengths and weaknesses and competitive position within its industry
- Independent problem solving skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analysis and recommendations in a succinct manner to senior managers
- Ability to handle adversity, to push back on industry and product partners and to help them transform inferior deals into acceptable ones
