Overview / Resumo:
As a leader in deepwater drilling, Diamond Offshore provides contract drilling services to the energy industry around the globe, with offshore drilling units owned and operated worldwide. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the Company also maintains primary regional offices in Australia, Brazil, and Scotland, with local offices in other countries as required supporting operations.

Responsibilities / **Responsabilidades**:
The Materials Manager will report directly to the Managing Director of Brasdril and will be responsible for ensuring Company policies and procedures are adhered to regarding inventory management of equipment and spare parts at the shorebase warehouse and yards, logistics to and from the Company’s fleet, oversight of the procurement function and management of customs processing related to importation and exportation of company equipment, all in support of efficient on shore and offshore operations.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
The Materials Manager may:

- Manage the activities of Materials Department, with a view to achieve the effectiveness of the Results, aligned with the mission, vision and values of the company.
- Lead, plan, direct and control multi-tasking by partners to achieve desired departmental goals in a timely, accurate and secure manner.
- Developing, distributing and maintaining Material Control System Procedures for Brazilian operations.
- Implementing and enforcing the Material Control System (Maximo).
- Monitoring fleet compliance with established Material Control System Procedures.
- Ensuring rig onboard warehousing and warehousing practices are in compliance with the Material Control Procedure Manual.
- Establishing and managing warehouse facility that provide material support for rig operations.
- Ensure the warehouse facility have and maintain an inventory of spares to support rig operations.
- Ensure that the warehouse facility maintain a current inventory utilizing the MAXIMO System.
- Oversee material routing procedures for import, export and customs requirements to ensure proper flow of materials.
- Oversee freight forwarder activities and practices, directing as necessary for Company’s benefit and to ensure compliance with standard and local requirements.
- Monitoring the supply process for rig operations.
- Monitor purchasing practices to ensure they are consistent with Company Policies and Procedures.
- Elaborate and revise import and export procedures
- Oversee the sale or disposal of surplus and/or scrap materials and equipment in conjunction with the Operations department.
- Ensure the proper flow of material control documents from the MODU’s to the offices is defined and adhered to.
- Ensure that import and export documentation is maintained in accordance to Customs requirements/law.
- Managing all personnel in the Materials Department, including third party roustabouts and forklift operators
- Oversight of procurement function, ensuring compliance with company policies applicable to the area.
- Ensure cycle counts are timely and accurate.
- Identify redundant or obsolete equipment that may be put for sale or scrapped.
- Report to their immediate supervisor any situation that may constitute a hazard or that may cause injury to themselves or others, which they cannot correct themselves.
- Maintains safety, ergonomics and good maintenance practices. Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Interact and work with another department to investigate and resolve issues and issues.
- Motivates associates and maintains a positive work environment to achieve building goals while living the values of the company.
- Participate fully in all Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and safety programs
- Follow Diamond Offshore Global Excellence Management System (G.E.M.S.)
- Perform other duties as required

Qualifications / Qualificações:
**Basic**:

- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Material Logistic Department, including 02 years in a Managerial Position
- Degree concluded (Engineering, Administration or any other course relating to this area)
- Office/Excel
- Experience using Maximo Asset Management system, and Oracle ERP

***Preferred**:

- Specialization courses in this area
- Fluent English
