Our bootcamps focus on training students in software engineering, data science, business intelligence analytics, and QA engineering in a feasible and accessible way, ultimately leading them to thrive in a new career.

TripleTen is a remote first organization mirroring our students who complete our bootcamps in a remote environment.

Our Tutors are the first line of support for students studying on our **Software Engineering program**. As a tutor you will help students with no previous experience go through the materials of our 8-month program with the help of our AI Learning Assistant bot.

Assisted by our AI bot at some parts of the program, you will be answering student questions about program materials, helping students fix mistakes in their projects and exercises. You will also be advising students on best industry practices on how to complete their work, and providing “human” expertise that might be outside of the scope of our AI bot.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to communicate 5 days a week Mon-Fri, between 6pm and 2am CST (8 hours per day);
- You possess a good level of written English — our students are Americans, many of our team members are natives, so it’s necessary to have a good level of English; You are careful with communication, can structure your thoughts, and love helping people.

**We appreciate it if you**
- A developer with 1+ years of professional experience, who loves to help others and share their experience;
- A software engineer skilled in HTML, CSS, vanilla Javascript, React, Node + Express; Someone who is patient and is able to break down complex problems to less experienced ones.
- Have teaching or tutoring experience, even if not in development;
- Have used discord in the past; Have your own experience as a student online, and the desire to help create the best place in the world to study Software Engineering.

What you will do:

- Communicate with students on Discord in text; you’ll be dealing with different questions from students including a deeper explanation of theory, helping with code debugging, helping understanding the task, pointing out difference between concepts, supporting and navigating students in their projects (SLA for response time: 15 mins);
- Validate the answers of our AI Learning Assistant bot to the students in some parts of the program, correcting the bot’s answers if necessary (SLA for response time: 15 mins);
- Report feedback on the AI Learning Assistant bot’s answers and overall work;
- Occasionally, answer questions in Direct Messages from students on Discord or proactively reaching out to students in Direct Messages based on the support team’s requests (SLA for response time: 1 day); Occasionally, communicate with the team and report students that might need more in-depth help on a topic.
