**Responsibilities**:
**The Opportunity**
**Fixed term position**
The R&D Packaging Analyst supports the packaging manager in all medium complexity packaging projects for Latam South region - PepsiCo foods division with more than 10 countries.
The 2024 R&D Latam South packaging budget is around USD 250M and the Packaging Analyst will lead packaging projects and will support the packaging manager to deliver initiatives to cover Innovation, Revenue Management, Quality Improvement and/or Cost Savings programs.
This role leads trials for projects of medium complexity and will assist the manager on projects of high complexity.
Furthermore this professional will be involved on packaging specification process, new materials approval and flawless lift and adapt/shift technologies from global packaging team to countries across the region.
**Your Impact**
As R&D Packaging Assistant Analyst your functions would consist of:
- Lead Productivity, Revenue, Quality Improvement and/or Cost Savings projects;
- Identify project and business needs and address it though packaging platforms;
- Map internal and external packaging technologies available;
- Develop technical assessments and support technically local packaging teams;
- Build timelines regarding the packaging development stream and input to the team
- Run trials in plant;
- Lead and assess shipment tests;
- Issue trial reports;
- Lead conversations with suppliers;
- Support the source site during new packaging implementation;
- Support the revenue management and quality assessments;
- Carry out packaging risk assessment;
- Build specification and develop mechanical drawings;
- Produce mock ups for research;
- Carry out TSG;
- Support the operation and procurement team in productivity projects;
- Support the Trade marketing team in sales promotion and revenue management portfolio;
- Know-how to operate SAP / PLM;
- Travel to the different plant / co man / sites of PepsiCo in Latam South.
Qualifications:
