We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter (FTR) to join our team on board the Skandi Africa vessel. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment and systems on the vessel. This is a great opportunity to work with a reputable company and gain valuable experience in the maritime industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems, including engines, pumps, valves, and hydraulic systems.
- Install and test new equipment and systems as required.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and provide timely and effective solutions.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with other crew members and departments to ensure efficient operations on the vessel.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fitter in the maritime industry.
- Advanced English
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in the maritime industry.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
