We’re looking for our next Senior Network Administrator. Could It Be You?

The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for effective design, provisioning, configuration and maintain multi vendor Network hardware, software and other related infrastructure in heterogeneous complex environments (mostly Cisco and Palo Alto devices). This individual will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation of the on-premise and cloud infrastructure.

What’s it like working as a Senior Network Administrator at Questrade?
- Design, implement and support functional Global Network (Data center/LAN/Campus/WAN/WLAN,IPSEC/VTI/Cloud);
- Support and maintain various L2/3 routing protocols -BGP,OSPF,EIGRP,VXLAN,STP and other L2/L3 technologies;
- Create and maintain the project and procedure documentation;
- Manage Network using various Network monitoring and performance, and configuration tools such as Solarwinds;
- Automate various routine network operational tasks;
- Participate in network performance improvements, capacity and scaling;
- Manage 3rd party vendors and service performance;
- Tier 2 - 4 level support of various network infrastructure;
- Participate in office network built and expansion from Acquisition and mergers, DC migration and DR orchestrations;
- In addition, this position requires your participation in on-call support, in accordance with our company policy. Questrade reserves the right to revise the on-call policy based on business needs.

So are YOU our next Senior Network Administrator? You are if you have
- 5+ years experience as Senior Network Administrator/Engineer in a mid to large-scale (up 1000 devices) environment with exposure to Cisco platforms (routers,switches,firewall, ISE) and Palo Alto firewalls and panorama;
- Advanced English;
- Professional certifications (CCNP/CCDP, Cloud and Palo Alto);
- Hands-on experience in any Cloud provider (Google preferred);
- Hands-on experience working with various L2/3 routing protocols - e.g STP ,802.1Q/X, TCP/IP, BGP ,OSPF, EIGRP, IPSEC;
- Hands-on experience working with Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls;
- Solid experience with Network administration and architecture;
- Strong complex network troubleshooting skills;
- Strong documentation and presentation skills;
- Eager to learn new skills and develop new techniques;
- Strong attention to detail, comprehensive problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
- Must be able to effectively follow procedures and policies;
- Ability to work independently or under minimum supervision;
- Experience presenting and influencing technology strategy with executives through developers;
- This position requires your participation in on-call support, in accordance with our company policy. Questrade reserves the right to revise the on-call policy based on business needs.
- Nice to have skills:

- Excellent knowledge of Google Cloud is a plus;
- Disaster Recovery / High Availability experience would be an asset;
- Experience in regulated environments is an asset (SOC, ISO27001, NIT, PCI) including escalations, change and incident management;
- Able to work flexible hours when requested;
- Thrives in a changing, dynamic environment.
