Ensuring the operational effectiveness of internal controls and being responsible for improving the quality of reconciliation of balance sheets and accounts, ensuring transactional integrity and compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as strengthening the culture and a strong controllership mindset in our operation Brazil.

**Main responsibilities will be**:
Ensure highest standards of Controllership are achieved surrounding compliance and core controls. Set the rhythm for Controllership and balance sheet review processes.
Provide leadership, mentoring and coordination for all controllership activities and lead Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Invoicing and AP/AR teams. Liaise with FP&A to ensure proper and timely monthly accounting closing and managerial P&L reports are produced.
Provide accounting and process control guidance, particularly with regards to revenue recognition, inventory costing, provisions, invoicing, leasing and other specific processes and accounting matters.
Partner with ops, sales, and other operational teams to ensure procurement policy is adhered to, as well as sales, legal and other areas of the Company for general compliance and internal controls adherence.
Closely work with IT and product teams to drive ERP transactional integrity.
Lead the local statutory accounting function to ensure all local requirements are met in a timely fashion, as well as lead the auditing process and financial statements preparation in BR GAAP and IFRS.
Conduce tax planning analyses and discussions with internal teams and external advisors. Ensure that all tax and statutory obligations and reports are properly and timely filed.
Prepare ad-hoc materials, analyses and presentations regarding the full scope of activities. Conduce deep and quality reviews over all team's works and provide insightful, assertive and clear thoughts to all stakeholders.
Ensure that cash and debt are properly managed, including with external stakeholders, and reconciliations are done timely and accurately on a daily basis.
Facilitate and manage the requests of internal and external audit teams. Aid in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and timely remediation of any findings.
Facilitate the formulation and drive the implementation of process improvement initiatives based on robotics and other new technologies.

**Mandatory requirements**:Degree in Accounting, Administration, Engineering or related areas.
Active CRC
Fluent English and/or Spanish
Advanced Excel
Large industry experience

**Desirable requirements**:
Big4 firms experience
Experience in the automotive and/or auto parts industry
Postgraduate
Netsuit knowledge
