**Operations Controller**

**The Challenge**

The Operations Controller oversees and leads operational financial activities including controls, analysis and reporting of the BG’S sites. They direct and coordinate the target setting, and financial results in alignment with BG strategic goals. They provide financial advice and insight to help improve the business and decision-making process. The Operations Controller serves as the finance business partner to the Site Director and Leadership team. They are the Risk Management officer for the site. They optimize cash flow by maintaining knowledge of all financial and inventory details.

**Responsibilities**
- Contribute, as a member of the management team, to the development and implementation of the strategy of the Legal Entity; align local stakeholders with business unit policy and strategy.
- Challenge the members of the management team of the Legal Entity regarding the execution of the financial decision-making process and challenge results.
- Monitor the development of key performance indicators and analyze (financial) performance and longer-term strategy.
- Manage all Cost Accounting operations
- Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial operational reports for site
- Integrates and trains new staff while leading the continued professional development of the existing team
- Shares best practices across team, e.g. process improvements, financial modelling and procedures changes
- Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions
- Collaborates with Site Manager & Plant Teams to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysis
- Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks
- Reconcile all physical inventory and maintain accuracy in transactions and records for all inventory and perform financial audit on annual basis.
- Lead in investment calculations and implementing costing models.

**Ideal Profile**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required in Business Adminsitration, Industrial Engineer, Accounting, Finance.
- MBA in Finance or Accounting is desirable.
- Experience in business Finance and/or Accounting is extremely important.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes and financial operations for industrial sites is a must.
- Proficiency in SAP (FICO).
- Advanced/Fluent English.
- Experience in managing and creating relationships with stakeholders is essential.
- Experience with project management is desirable.
