Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Site Readiness Engineer (SRE) with expertise in CI/CD automation and Azure cloud technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring deployment readiness across our infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and maintaining optimal site performance within our cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Develop and enhance automation scripts to streamline deployment processes and minimize manual tasks.
- Configure, manage, and optimize cloud resources in alignment with security standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve deployment and site readiness issues.
- Monitor site performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide production deployment support and incident resolution.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for deployment processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Conduct site readiness assessments and validation tests to ensure infrastructure and applications are production ready.
- Implement and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform and ARM templates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployment failures, infrastructure provisioning, and application performance.

Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or similar roles
- Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, or similar
- Solid experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Database services and networking controls
- Hands-on experience automating deployment workflows and infrastructure provisioning
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or similar tools
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar
- Experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of networking principles and Azure networking services
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments
- Must be able to read and speak fluently in English
- Must be able to work at least some time in the US or EU time zone

Preferred Qualifications:

- Azure certifications (Azure Developer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Administrator)
- Experience with monitoring tools such as, Application Insights, ELK or Grafana
- Experience with log aggregation and analysis tools in particular Elastic and Prometheus
- Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery concepts
- Experience with containerized applications with a Windows OS
