System at Brex The System team sits at the intersection of strategy, tooling, and execution. We are a hybrid team of technologists, operators, and product thinkers who design internal tools that scale with the company’s ambition.  This system team will focus on building internal tools, automations, and intelligent workflows in platforms like Retool and Salesforce to power every team across the company. We're building a best-in-class AI-native operations org, and this role will be instrumental in turning that vision into reality. What You’ll Do As a Systems Analyst, you will play a hands-on role in building and maintaining internal systems that power Brex’s operations. You’ll partner cross-functionally with teams like Engineering, Operations, Data, and Product to build tools that drive scale and efficiency. Your work will be highly visible and deeply technical — focused on building automations, integrations, and internal applications that make Brex operate faster and smarter Responsibilities Build, maintain, and scale internal tools using Retool, Salesforce, APIs, and custom logic  Design intelligent, AI-powered workflows that improve automation and decision-making across Brex Contribute to end-to-end delivery of internal tooling — from scoping to architecture to iteration Partner with Engineering, Operations, Data, and Product to translate business needs into scalable systems Contribute to the long-term strategy for Brex’s internal platform and automation roadmap Set standards for internal tooling — including documentation, reliability, and training— and mentor others to uphold them Requirements 2+ years of experience in technical operations, internal tools, or systems/automation roles Fluent in JavaScript, Python, and SQL; comfortable writing and reviewing code regularly Hands-on experience building AI-driven automations (e.g., using LLM and workflow orchestration tools) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work through ambiguity with minimal guidance Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical partners and drive alignment across teams Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, balancing technical tradeoffs, user needs, and business priorities Comfortable ramping up quickly on business context and cross-functional priorities Experience building internal tools or automations that support non-technical users Passionate about building for leverage — mentor other technical analysts, establish best practices, and set technical vision for internal tooling Bonus Points Experience with Salesforce (administration, configuration, or development) and Retool or similar internal tool builders Experience with data analytics like Hex, Looker, GraphQL Familiarity with modern AI coding environments (e.g., Cursor, LangChain, Replit, etc.) Background in fintech, B2B SaaS, or data-heavy operational environments Built or contributed to internal platform or systems strategy in a previous role *Note: Application must be submitted in English to be considered
