Customer Success Specialist Consultant – Latin America CAS uses intuitive technology, unparalleled scientific content, and unmatched human expertise to help companies create groundbreaking innovations that benefit the world. As the scientific information solutions division of the American Chemical Society, CAS manages the largest curated reservoir of scientific knowledge and, for 118 years, has helped innovators mine, assess, and apply that information to keep businesses thriving. The CAS team is global, diverse, endlessly curious, and strives to make scientific insights accessible to innovators worldwide. CAS is seeking an independent consultant to deliver technical training and product consulting services for CAS scientific information solutions in Latin America (based in Brazil). This is a contract-based engagement. The consultant will provide pre- and post-sale technical training and product consulting to users of CAS solutions, including Sci Finder, Bio Finder, and STNext, with a focus on Life Sciences content. Services will include: Training & Enablement Prepare and deliver instructional materials for technical training events, user meetings, and conferences. Conduct on-site and virtual sessions to educate customers on CAS solutions and best practices. Design customized educational content tailored to customer workflows and needs. Consultative Support Provide product consulting to help customers maximize adoption and value. Collaborate with ACS International teams as needed to align training with strategic objectives. Offer insights on AI-driven features and innovative functionalities within CAS solutions. Customer Engagement Facilitate onboarding and continuous learning for CAS users. Gather feedback and communicate actionable insights to ACS International for product improvement. Support initiatives that promote customer success and solution optimization. Strategic Communication Deliver compelling presentations at workshops, seminars, and industry events. Represent CAS at conferences and trade shows as agreed under the engagement. Required Expertise: Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programs. Strong ability to simplify and communicate complex scientific concepts. Familiarity with CAS solutions (Sci Finder, STNext) and other scientific information platforms. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skilled in virtual training tools (Teams, Zoom, Web Ex) and CRM systems (Salesforce/LEX). Qualifications: Ph. D. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related discipline (preferred focus on drug discovery or pharmaceutical development). Minimum 5 years of experience in technical training, customer success, or product consulting. Fluency in Portuguese and English; Spanish proficiency is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). Location & Travel Based in Brazil; with regional travel within Brazil and across Latin America required up to 20% of the time. This is an independent consulting engagement. The consultant will be responsible for all taxes, insurance, and business expenses. Duration, deliverables, and compensation will be agreed upon in the consulting contract.
