Establishing a strong foundation in guided weapon systems is crucial for our organization's success. A highly experienced Principal Engineer with 10-15 years of experience in the development of guided weapon systems, missiles, or relevant defense technologies is required to take on this key role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams and establishing new capabilities. They must possess a deep understanding of the entire Systems Engineering Process (qualification, acceptance, flight testing) and have a strong background in flight dynamics, embedded systems, and missile control. This is a full-time position requiring relocation to Abu Dhabi, UAE. A comprehensive relocation package will be offered to support the successful candidate's transition. The Role: Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Serving as the technical authority over the full G&C lifecycle, including Modeling & Simulation (MIL/SIL/PIL), Guidance & Control Algorithms, Tracking Systems, and Estimation Filters (EKF/KF). R&D and Capability Establishment: Leading the investigation of emerging technologies and the implementation of futuristic methodologies. Establishing new G&C infrastructure, tools, and R&D labs is also part of the role. Flight Test Oversight: Managing all phases of flight test campaigns, including pre-flight preparation, test execution, and rigorous post-flight analysis. Mentorship and Team Building: Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers across all levels (Junior to Senior), helping to cultivate a high-performing team. Requirements for Success Experience: 10–15 years of experience in the development of guided weapon systems, missiles, or relevant defense technologies. Leadership: A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering management and technical leadership roles, with a proven ability to lead teams and establish new capabilities. Expertise: Deep knowledge of the entire Systems Engineering Process (qualification, acceptance, flight testing) and a strong background in flight dynamics, embedded systems, and missile control. Qualifications: A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
