The Assistant Piping Manager supports the Piping Manager in the planning, execution, and control of piping engineering activities for EPC projects.
This role is part of succession planning, intended to develop leadership, technical, and managerial capabilities to eventually assume the Piping Manager position.
The role ensures technical quality, schedule adherence, cost control, and compliance with client and international engineering standards.2. Key Responsibilities
A. Engineering & Technical OversightAssist in managing piping design and engineering activities across all project phases (FEED, Detail Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning).Review and approve: Piping layouts and 3 D modelsP&IDs and line listsStress analysis reportsIsometrics and MTOsMaterial specifications and piping classesEnsure compliance with: International codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO)Client specificationsEngineering proceduresB. Project Management SupportSupport the Piping Manager in: Resource planning and workload distributionEngineering schedule development and monitoringMan-hour estimation and controlCoordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and construction teams to ensure integrated design.
Participate in project review meetings, HAZOPs, and constructability reviews.C. Leadership & Team DevelopmentSupervise and mentor: Piping EngineersDesigners and DraftsmenAct as Deputy Piping Manager during the Piping Manager's absence.
