Mechanical Engineer

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Junior Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Sao Paulo office. As part of the MEI Group, the Junior Mechanical Engineer will assist in engineering work involving design, construction, and execution of mechanical projects. Duties and responsibilities:   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.  Perform design of maritime related mechanical engineering projects  Work related to equipment/materials specification, calculation, data sheets, drawings reviews, and material handling equipment construction/configuration. Qualifications:   Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; required 1+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering design; required Professional licensure; preferred Experience in design with AutoCAD; required Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)  Availability and willingness to travel Bi-lingual / multi-lingual desired All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Working conditions:   General office setting Physical requirements:   Ability to use standard office equipment. Sits for a prolonged period of time.
