Engagement Senior Engineer Job Description

The Engagement Senior Engineer plays a vital role in establishing and supporting long-term customer engagements. This position involves working closely with customers to understand their business needs, provide advice, and drive the delivery of premium engagement services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Understanding and Situation Analysis: Understand the customer's business challenges, pain points, and industry specifics; analyze the customer organization, SAP at the customer, and support analyzing the current customer situation.
  • Engagement Setup: Explain the scope of the engagement with the customer, understand the engagement and innovation roadmap, focus areas, and high-level delivery plan.
  • Engagement Governance: Align service plans with the account team, contribute to executive meetings, and provide a balanced scorecard overview of the engagement.
  • Engagement Development: Highlight premium engagement delivery opportunities, support the premium engagement contract renewal, and establish trusted relationships with customers.
  • Engagement Management & Planning: Manage a long-term engagement plan based on customer projects and top issues, react to short-term needs, and anticipate and identify risks and top issues.
  • Escalation Management for Critical Situations: Understand the importance of all issues raised, support condensing issues to top issues, and ensure resolution thereof according to engagement deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluent English and Portuguese language skills;
  • Good understanding of SAP technology and SAP Business Suite (Application);
  • Very good understanding of Services tools (e.g., SAP ALM) and ability to present and explain strategy and demonstrate capabilities to customers;
  • Experience as an SAP Cloud Success Services onsite/remote team lead, such as Solution Management Assessment;
  • Ability to manage Customer Solutions in top maintenance segment.
