Data Engineer for Cloud Platforms

Description:

We are seeking a proactive Data Engineer who excels in supporting production environments. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building scalable data pipelines and infrastructure, and thrives in fast-paced settings where system reliability and performance are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create efficient and optimized data pipelines and systems.
  • Develop Python scripts and SQL queries.
  • Monitor and support production data workflows, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, including handling tickets and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response when needed.
  • Work closely with teams to implement improvements in data infrastructure.
  • Maintain clear documentation for processes, data flows, and issue resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Solid background in Data Engineering, including ticket management systems and real-time issue handling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
