Project Development Lead

As a key member of our project development team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of large-scale projects in Latin America.

This includes managing complex projects that integrate hybrid renewable energy, water, electrolyzers, derivatives synthesis facilities, ports, and delivery pipelines. You will work closely with internal subject matter experts and external consultants to identify solutions and advance projects through various milestones.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for large-scale PtX projects
  • Manage external partners to ensure performance objectives are met while advancing projects through development stages
  • Oversee multiple external consultant SMEs across environmental studies, permitting, public affairs, real estate legal, engineering studies, PtX technology, water engineering, and midstream transportation
  • Travel to project sites to collaborate with stakeholders and co-developers as needed
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, markets, policy, and competitive landscapes related to green hydrogen and derivatives strategy; provide insightful reports to enhance the team's knowledge base
  • Host regular project update meetings with the extended team and external partners
  • Maintain project budgets, Gantt schedules, and KPI dashboards
  • Assist with project-level accounting and financials
  • Provide inputs into techno-economic models used to support project economics and offtake discussions
Requirements
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and independent problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Clear-thinking and organizational approach, utilizing Gantt charts to drive project strategy
  • Knowledge of the full project development lifecycle and ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of green hydrogen, ammonia, or e-fuels is beneficial but not required
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; M.B.A. preferred
  • Experience: Senior experience required, preferably in wind, solar, hydrogen, or molecules project development
